Copper theft a serious threat to the country’s infrastructure

FBI issued a warning Wednesday that the United States rampant theft of copper, the country’s infrastructure has been a threat.
In the United States, cell phone signal towers, telephone lines and substations, and even idle San house placed a number of copper. Over the past few years, copper theft has become a criminal gang and “drug addicts” the means to make money.
Copper theft of a significant impact on public safety. Despite the theft may not want to damage vital infrastructure, but they may be accused of more serious crimes.
While in the past few months, copper prices fell, but copper can be sold to scrap metal buyers quickly converted into cash. The current state of economic downturn, copper theft will continue to be a channel for criminals to make money.
